Kippah

A kippah is (to quote Wikipedia) "a brimless cap, usually made of cloth, traditionally worn by Jewish males to fulfill the customary requirement that the head be covered." It's also (and, I previously thought, more commonly) known as a yarmulke – with the 'e' pronounced as 'uh'.
